Former CU Buffs quarterback Shedeur Sanders was on fire on Friday morning at the NFL Combine.
With poise and confidence at the podium, Sanders delivered a couple of dynamite answers that had social media buzzing. The projected top-10 pick made it clear what he can do for a struggling franchise.
First up, Sanders was asked about why an NFL team should take a chance on him. He pointed out that wherever he’s gone, the culture has changed and the program has become a winner. All while doing it with six offensive coordinators between high school and two college stops.
"We went from Jackson State to Colorado and changed two programs back to back. You don't think I could come to an NFL franchise and change a program again? It's history, it's always going to repeat itself."

It’s a great answer from Sanders and one that should catch the attention of the teams at the top of the draft that need a QB. The Titans, Browns, Giants, Raiders and Jets all pick in the top-10 and all could use a new quarterback.
In another answer that is going viral, Sanders said he’s also not worried about any outside noise. He mentioned his father Deion Sanders and noted that’s something they’ve dealt with their whole lives.
"You think I'm worried about what critics gonna say?"

Coach Prime and Shedeur Sanders led Colorado to a fantastic 9-4 season including going 7-2 in Big 12 play. Still, the haters jumped at every chance they could get, particularly when CU stumbled at Kansas late in the season and then got blown out by BYU in the Alamo Bowl.
Overall, Sanders threw for more than 4,100 yards in 2024 and 37 touchdowns. He had 10 interceptions and took 42 sacks, but completed a ridiculous 74 percent of his passes.
The mock drafts vary on where Sanders could land, with some thinking he’ll go No. 1 overall to Tennessee and others thinking he could slip to the Jets at No. 7. Regardless, he’ll either be the first or second QB off the board, competing with Miami’s Cam Ward.
Sanders crushed his media session on Friday, showing he’s comfortable in front of big audiences and giving strong answers. Games aren’t won at the podium, but you can tell a lot about the confidence a player has. And Shedeur Sanders certainly doesn’t lack it.
