Avalanche to showcase “A Conversation with Gabe Landeskog” Thursday

Mar 6, 2025, 9:00 AM

A day after Fresh Tape Media announced a five-part docuseries featuring Colorado Avalanche Captain Gabe Landeskog would be released, it was announced that Altitude Sports would be showcasing a separate “exclusive look at his three-year recovery journey.”

This will be another way for Avalanche fans to see exactly what their captain has been up to the past three years in his road back to the ice, and could possibly provide some answers or clarity on a possible return in the future. While it’s not what they ultimately want to see, him on the ice, it will still be important in providing some context to this wild injury rollercoaster that has been going on since 2020.

It was announced earlier this week that Landeskog likely won’t be back in the 2024-25 regular season, a familiar sight as the possible window for him to return to the ice only gets smaller.

The show premieres at 6:30 p.m. tonight, an hour before puck drop at Ball Arena against the San Jose Sharks. The Avs are currently in fourth place in the Central Division, two points behind the Minnesota Wild for the third playoff spot. In the Wild Card chase, the Avalanche are currently in the first spot (of two), seven points ahead of the next closest team.
