Evan Engram is taking his time — and taking advantage of the opportunity to choose his next stop.

The nine-year veteran tight end followed his day-long visit with Denver Broncos officials by sitting down with the Los Angeles Chargers, according to a report from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Like the Broncos, the Chargers went into free agency with needs at running back and tight end. Los Angeles already crossed the first item off their checklist by agreeing to terms with former Steelers running back Najee Harris on a one-year deal that could be worth up to $9.25 million. Harris has never failed to reach 1,000 yards in any of his previous four seasons.

The tight-end market has thinned since the legal-tampering period began Monday. New Orleans agreed to terms on a three-year deal with Juwan Johnson on Tuesday. Over the weekend, New England re-signed Austin Hooper while the Cincinnati Bengals brought back Mike Gesicki.

Tyler Conklin, Gerald Everett and Hayden Hurst are some of the other tight ends still on the market.
